Literature Text

Hunting was by far the best job you’ve ever had, but sometimes you just need a break from all the death and destruction caused by the supernatural. The breaks were sometimes just sitting in a motel room with the TV on or they could be dinner or a movie. Of course, you were always accompanied by the older Winchester brother and your long-time lover, Dean, who usually complained in some way about anything he could think of. Tonight, he promised you that he’d last a whole movie without complaining.

Dean had found a movie that both of you had been dying to see ever since it came out. That meant popcorn, soda, Red Vines to use as straws, and a sort of comfortable-but-not-comfortable motel couch. Luckily, the small television actually had a remote although it looked like it was from the 80’s. After turning off the lights, you curled up on the ugly tan couch next to Dean and smiled when he pressed play; the big white triangle showed up on the corner of the screen. You remembered having a TV like this when you were younger but you’d have to turn the knobs and didn’t have the luxury of a remote.

“Popcorn?” you asked, laughing as he opened his mouth and you popped a piece in. The hunter chewed and focused on the movie, which was just beginning after the advertisements. In the first few minutes of the movie, a classic rock song played and both you and Dean sang along. After a while he took a sip of his soda through the Red Vine straw and handed the cup to you.

“___?”

“Yeah?” you asked just after taking a sip of the soda. You set it on the small wobbly coffee table that stood in front of the couch.
You could see his face from the light radiating off the screen, his green eyes so full of something you couldn’t quite pinpoint, but something you’ve definitely seen before. Happiness? He wore a smile and it fit his face so well, yet it was rare to see on him. He was quiet for a moment, piecing his thoughts together so he could actually say what he’s been meaning to say—or rather ask.

“Marry me? I don’t have a ring yet, but I’ve been saving up with the money I actually worked for and—“

“Yes, Dean.” You were shocked. You assumed he really didn’t do the whole marriage and family thing since he never really talked about it with you. And you were right, he didn’t do those things, but Dean decided that he wanted to be happy when he died, and that means being with you. He pressed a kiss against your forehead, “I love you.”

“I love you, too. And,” you started, sitting up as tall as you could to rest your forehead on his, “I will always love you.”
Epilogue
“Samuel John Winchester! Get your butt back here this instant!” A small kid, the age of five, came running in through the back doors of the old house, holding a toy rifle by his side. His light brown hair reached down to his shoulders and he reminded you so much of his Uncle Sammy.

“Yes, mommy,” he acted like you were scolding him, which you didn’t mean to do—yet.

“So tell me, moose,” you called him by his nickname, another thing that reminded you of Sam, and bent down to his height, “Why’d you push your sister?”

“She said that I look like a girl!”

Another voice came from the upstairs of the house, “Did not!”

You sighed, praying to God that Dean would be home soon. “Cassy, did you call him a girl?”
“No!” the girl’s voice got louder. Luckily, seconds later the hum of the Impala was heard from the driveway. The two kids yelled at the same time, “Daddy!”

Cassandra ran down the stairs at the speed of light then bounded out the door followed by Samuel. Cassandra's long light brown curls were covering her face when she latched on to her father's leg. Samuel did the same, and Dean had to walk with them on his legs.

"Hey, Daddy," you smiled. You weren't allowed to call Dean by his name because to the kids, his name was Daddy, and you'd like to keep it that way. There was that smile again--the one from when he asked you to marry him, the one he had when Samuel and Cassandra were born, and the one he had when he thought about your third child, who was yet to be born. He or she was barely showing, since it's only been ten weeks.

Dean swept you up in his arms after he pried the children off his legs. "Hey, Mommy."
For :iconanimelover054:

I was going somewhere else with this, but I ended up making it this. I can make another or whatever if you don't like it. I don't know if this is fluffy enough, but here you go! Hope you enjoy!
